Authorised Assessors
Assessing for Westmark
For experienced security and audit practitioners. Assessors are authorised for the scheme and the scope, and the authorisation lapses automatically when any part of it expires. Assessors are being authorised ahead of the October 2026 opening.
What authorisation requires
Authorisation is held for each scheme separately. Every date below is held in the hub. Thirty days before any of them expires you and the Scheme Owner are reminded, and on the date you can no longer be assigned until the renewal is recorded.
- Baseline personnel security standard screening, held current
- A competence review within the period, covering the scheme and assessment practice
- A signed confidentiality and handling declaration, acknowledging obligations under the Official Secrets Acts and the National Security Act 2023 alongside Westmark's own handling rules
- Calibration against worked records, so two assessors reach the same score on the same evidence
Independence, enforced by the hub
The hub refuses an assignment that breaks any of these rules and shows the reason on screen.
- An organisation that has had consultancy, advisory, implementation, drafting, gap analysis or training from you within the two years before the assessment, or during the life of the outcome, is assigned to somebody else
- A rotation limit caps how often you may assess the same organisation
- Holding a Licensed Partner role keeps you off any engagement that partner referred
- Technical review is a separate authorisation. A reviewer always reviews somebody else's assessment, and the hub keeps the two roles apart on every engagement
How the work runs
- The hub
An assignment arrives as a task
Nothing opens until you accept it and make a conflict declaration.
- You
The engagement screen
Visit arrangements, the client self-assessment, the assessment record and the review position, all in one place.
- You
The assessment tool, inside the hub
Each save lands as the next version of the record, so there is one file and one history.
- You, at close-out
Confirm the file
You confirm your own notes and interview records are on file before the record goes to review.
Pay
- Basis
- Per accepted day, at a rate agreed in the Authorised Assessor Agreement
- Outcome
- Pay is the same whatever outcome is reached, and no part of it is contingent on a result
- Hospitality
- Refreshment in the ordinary course of a working day is fine. Anything beyond that is declined
