Refer the work, keep the line clean
Consultants and advisers who prepare organisations for assessment can refer them to Westmark and keep their own advisory work at arm's length from the assessment itself.
Looking for help with your own assessment?
If you are the organisation being assessed and you want advice from a consultant who knows the standard, that is what these practices are for. Your arrangements stay your own. Write to us and we will introduce one.
Where the line sits
Preparing an organisation for assessment is proper work, and it is the partner's. Deciding whether that organisation meets the standard is Westmark's. That separation is what lets you recommend the scheme free of any conflict, and it is written into the Licensed Partner Agreement.
How a referral works
Record the referral in the hub
The organisation's details and the scheme.
Westmark contracts with the organisation directly
You carry no liability for the assessment and stand aside from it.
Your introduction is protected
Each referral carries a twelve-month non-circumvention period, whether or not they proceed straight away.
What you can see
- The standing of the organisations you referred
- Any status document marked visible to you
- Notice when an outcome is issued to an organisation you referred
Findings, scores and the assessment record stay with Westmark and the organisation. Where you have advised an organisation, its assessor is always independent of you.
What you receive
- The Brand and Mark Use Rules, covering use of the Westmark identity in your own material
- The partner recruitment pack and the published criteria for both schemes
- A hub account showing your referrals and their standing
Becoming a partner
Write to hello@westmarkassurance.co.uk with what your practice does, the sectors you work in, and which scheme your clients are likely to need. The agreement and the materials follow.
Commissioning for your own reliance
Where you want an assessment for your own reliance, as distinct from the organisation's, you can commission one directly as a commissioning party.
